Licensed by Alberta

Little Otters is licensed under Alberta's Early Learning and Child Care Act. Licensed programs are inspected by provincial licensing officers, and our licence is posted at the centre.

Look us up on Alberta's Child Care Lookup → It shows any licensed program's capacity and 18 months of compliance history.

We follow the province's maximum staff-to-child ratios and group sizes, which are smallest for the youngest children.

Are you licensed?

Yes. Little Otters is a licensed child care centre under Alberta's Early Learning and Child Care Act. Our licence is posted at the centre, and you can look up any licensed program, including its compliance history, with Alberta's Childcare Lookup Tool.

What are your staff-to-child ratios?

We follow Alberta's ratios for licensed daycares: 1 educator for every 3 infants under 12 months, 1:4 for 12–19 months, 1:6 for 19 months–3 years, 1:8 for 3-year-olds and 1:10 for children 4 and up. See safety & trust.

Can you support my child's extra needs?

We're an inclusive centre. We work directly with FSCD (Family Support for Children with Disabilities) and with the GRIT and PUF programs, including support for speech development. Tell us about your child and we'll talk through how we can help.

Check it all in person.

On a tour you can see the rooms, the kitchen and the backyard, meet the educators and ask about any policy.
